Lunch and dinner are served seven days a week at the mission in our chapel area/dining area. Both meals times run two meal time groups. Lunch time is at 12:00 P.M. and in order to receive a meal you must be inside the mission by noon. Doors lock from 12:00 - 12:30 P.M. for chapel service. Those attending chapel are invited to the first lunch group. For latecomers or those that would prefer not to attend chapel, the doors re-open at 12:30 P.M. and folks are invited to eat with the second lunch group. For dinner individuals need to be inside the mission by 6:00 PM to attend chapel and the first dinner group. Doors close at 6:00 P.M. and then re-open at 6:30 PM for latecomers and those who would prefer not to attend chapel.
Guiding Light Mission operates an overnight Emergency Shelter available for men. To spend a night in the shelter you must be inside the mission by 9:00 P.M. Individuals using the dining facility can begin to line up after dinner. Sign-up begins at 8:00 P.M and ends at 9:00 P.M. You must present valid identification at this time or proof that you are seeking to acquire identification. If you need a state identification contact Degage Ministries and sign-up to receive your state id through the Life Enrichment Center.
